The stone
Just so
Says to the earth
βWe areβ
Balanced on its neighbors
There is no conversation
Just time
Passing fast
Seconds like centuries
Rounding down
Its little imperfections
But it does have a voice
It speaks, now and forever
Of freedom
Not from time
Not from friction
But from fear
Fear that erodes far more
Than just a little sediment
Just be
It says
Be in the flow
Where there is no need to fear
For you are stone
Shaped by time and friction
Pleasures, and pains,
And personalities
But steady, always in yourself
Not chasing
Just being
Being yourself
Knowing yourself
Being with the earth
The stone speaks -
If only we all could listen.
