For me, the equinox’s semi-annual return to equilibrium is a reminder that, no matter how “earth-shattering” something might seem, the earth, in fact, does not shatter. Our dreary lives continue, and sometimes, eventually, we feel better. Yes; as we hurtle through space, spinning and spinning and spinning—cosmically, physically, emotionally—the angles sometimes line up “just so”: sunlight, through the window, making rainbows on the wall.
